EHGA Rules
The first and most important rule above all is to enjoy & embrace the experience of playing with hickory shafted clubs. This is far more important than any scores on your scorecard!
Appreciate how good the players were in the 1920's / 1930's (and before), both amateurs and professionals.
Be polite and respectful to all your fellow EHGA members, as well as golfers & staff at the golf clubs that we visit.
Just play with the "hickory friendly" golf balls that we provide.
Try to swot up on the top golfers of the era, there are hundreds of YouTube videos on the subject (Don't worry, there will NOT be a Hickory Golf Mastermind Pub Quiz at the end of the season!).

EHGA Dress Code
It is expected that all members proudly wear our EHGA crested clothing on the course and in the clubhouse.
Plus Fours are not compulsory; it is very easy to convert ordinary trousers to look like Plus Fours, by simply tucking them into a pair of long socks, to complete the 1920's / 1930's look.
Let common sense prevail in a heatwave, therefore, smart tailored shorts are allowed on the golf course.
We will probably be the smartest dressed group of golfers to play at these away day venues and I am sure we will be remembered and talked about for years to come!

EHGA Behaviour Code
As ambassadors for the sport of Hickory Golf, it is expected that our members behave impeccably at all times (both on & off the course).
Instances of ungentlemanly behaviour or bad sportsmanship, will most definitely be frowned upon by the committee.
In the highly unlikely event of members letting themselves (and the EHGA) down we will operate a yellow card / red card system.
If a red card is shown, the committee will ask the member in question to return any logo'd clothing to us and in return we will refund their membership fee.
We sincerely hope that we never find ourselves in that position.
